The Sunset was lovely on this last night party at the famous Latitude 18 bar in St. Thomas , USVI.
As the sun was setting , the people started to roll in, as well as the band members.
Everybody trying to find a spot to enjoy the night. The Bars were busy, the service was good and the music soon
filled the bar.

The dancing soon began........ And different musicians, from thru out the years took their turns on stage!
There was a convenient satellite bar set up for the crowds........
As you walked thru the crowds you could hear the story's of good times being told !
In my opinion the only thing missing at this event was the Fiddler!!
However he was there in spirit and his picture hung in the hall way almost looking over the band! As well as in the
restroom overlooking the events in there.

It is very sad to have to say good bye to the last true boater open air bar on St. Thomas. One of the first bars I came to when I first arrived on this island. Jason Jones made a comment up on stage as he welcomed everyone he then asked
where have you all been all this time. My answer to that is just life , life gets in the way but who could miss the last night of such a legend.
Leaving latitude 18 was like a scene out of Woodstock, cars were lined up along the side of the road all the way out past the split in the road and out to the half concrete portion of the road! and people were walking in for one last drink and dance!
So long to the charming little boater bar and not so much of a welcome for condos , big marinas more houses and neon lights..........
stay tuned for some videos of the drive in to latitude 18 and more!
